NJM is the oldest and most established running club in the Northern New Jersey area.
For over thirty years NJM has helped athletes improve through participation with runners of all abilities and speed.
By learning training techniques and sharing mutual experiences, members dramatically improve and increase their
likelihood of achieving full potential. NJM's membership consists of adult men and women age 18 and above (and children of adult members),
many competing regularly in races throughout the tri-state area, while others simply want to improve for personal satisfaction.
Some of the benefits of membership in NJM include:
- Professional coaching

- Monthly membership meeting with guest speakers on running and motivation
- Training and socializing with like-minded individuals
- Annual awards banquet and eligibility for club awards

We offer Individual and Family membership
Individual membership is for a person who is over 18 and is the only person in the household planning to participate in club activities.
The Individual must fill out the application and sign the waiver.
Family membership includes a primary contact (must be over 21) and one or more "family" members for which we need their Name,
Gender, and Date of Birth. A family member must live at the same address of the primary contact and can be a child, spouse,
friend, etc. The primary contact (head of household) is responsible for relaying club information to family members, filling
out the form, and signing the waiver. Individual and Family memberships are offered for one or two calendar years. For 2009, Individual memberships are $30 for one year/$50 for two years, and Family memberships are $50 for one year/$80 for two years.
Upon receipt of your completed application and check, we will transfer all your data to the NJM website's Member Profile page. This will cause the appropriate contact information to appear on the Club "Directory". The fact that you are listed in the "Directory" indicates that you are an Active Member. Since access to the "Directory" requires that you enter the non-public "Members Area", we will e-mail you your sign-on (Name and Password) to the "Members Area".
If you are a competitive runner and plan to compete against other State runners in Individual and Team competitions you must also join the USATF-NJ at the USATF membership page. The USATF-NJ is responsible for the governance of Track & Field, Long Distance Running (LDR), Cross Country, and Race Walking in the state of New Jersey. It is best known for providing its member athletes with discounts for NJ races, group accident insurance coverage, and shopping discounts at many sport retail stores. More importantly, it uses the approximately 150 sanctioned LDR races throughout the state to organize, score, and track its three Individual Grand Prix championships: Mini-1, Mini-2, and the Overall. Five-year age-group winners in the three championships are recognized as New Jersey Champions and feted at a year-end banquet.
