Thursday Night Tempo Workout with Coach Paul Kartanowicz

Join us for tempo workouts on Thursday nights with Coach Paul Kartanowicz otherwise known as PK! We meet at Veterans Field in Ridgewood. The session begins at 6:15pm but it is encouraged to come a little earlier to warm up! There are a total of 12 sessions running from September 5th to November 21st. These workouts are great for building speed! See you on the path!
Tonight’s Workout 10/10/19
Warm up 1.5-2 Miles
Be ready for stretches and drills at 6:15 promptly.
4x 20 second strides
We will complete 2 sets of 15 minutes at half marathon pace with a 4 min jog/walk in between. Goal
is to start off a few seconds slower than half marathon pace and by the last set be a few seconds under half marathon pace.
Cool down 1 mile stretch and rehydrate.
Anyone racing “shades of death half” this weekend can talk to me and I’ll adjust the workout for you.
