North Jersey Masters honors significant achievements by club members in a calendar year. Awards are handed out each year at the club banquet, (scheduled on 2/4/24 for this year), recognizing achievement from the prior year. The final award categories and nominees are determined by special committee assigned and approved by the board of directors. North Jersey Masters typically presents annual awards to outstanding members in the following categories:
Team Spirit
Given in recognition for exemplary spirit and dedication to team activities and for service to the club.
Lifetime Achievement
Presented to a member who has served the club for 20 years or more through volunteerism, board or committee membership and advancement of the mission and goals of NJM.
Runner of the Year
Presented to a NJM member who proudly runs for the club throughout the year and has achieved a personal result.
Marathoners of the Year
Presented to the NJM members with an outstanding achievement in a marathon.
Honorable Volunteers
Presented to the members who have demonstrated dedication, service and outstanding volunteerism to NJM.

Member Emeritus
Given in recognition to someone who is 80 years of age or older and has many years of running and dedicated service to NJM.

Presented to a member who has held a leadership role in the club and through their efforts has achieved success for NJM.

Awards Eligibility
Membership
To be eligible for most awards, a runner must be a member paid in full for at least six months of the calendar year at the time of nomination. Eligible members must race for North Jersey Masters only and not for any another club.
Selection Process
If you would like to nominate a club member for an award, email their name and a brief paragraph as to why he/she should be considered for the award to North Jersey Masters, no later than January 29, 2024.
